Arete Fellowship

Through this fellowship you'll have the opportunity to examine and evaluate the core philosophical and empirical underpinnings of Effective Altruism. Guided by a facilitator and in concert with a small group of your peers, you'll engage with a curated set of materials geared towards deepening your understanding of Effective Altruism as well as they ways in which you can more effectively carry out altruistic projects.

4-6 participants

You'll have weekly 1-hour discussions with a cohort of 4-6 participants and one facilitator.

What to expect

3 hours per week

2 hours prep

Before attending each discussion, you’ll spend roughly 2 hours completing a set of readings, podcasts or videos (and sometimes a brief written exercise).

1 hour discussions

Discuss the ideas you've read with your seminar and facilitator over video call.
